New Book - Liffey Rivers

Liffey Rivers and the Mystery of the Sparkling Solo Dress Crown

Book Description
There is more excitement at this Celtic Arch Feis in St. Louis than 13-year-old Irish dancer Liffey Rivers could have ever imagined! Liffey is determined to win a 1st place medal at this feis and earn her very own solo dress. Because Liffey is alone at most Irish dance competitions, she notices the little things that most people just walk right by. Like the suspicious looking man with the white stripe running down the back of his dark black hair (like a skunk), who is waiting for the up elevator. She has seen this man before, and he, like herself, is always alone. This time, however, she observes that he is carrying a shopping bag with a beautiful porcelain Irish dancer doll peeking out. The doll is wearing a dazzling diamond solo dress crown. But something is wrong.... Liffey follows the skunk man to get a better look at the doll, and in her pursuit for answers, she finds herself not only competing for the medal, but fighting for her own life. After a series of close calls and in a state of near collapse, Liffey finally solves the mystery of the sparkling solo dress crown.

About the Author
Brenna Briggs writes from the wild Northwest coast of Ireland where she lives with her family and bog dog, Cooga. After years of observing Irish dancers in their native feis habitats, the Liffey Rivers Brockagh Book Mysteries were written. When she is not working on the next Liffey Rivers adventure (The Mystery of the Winking Judge), Ms. Briggs explores the ancient castle ruins and fairy ringforts which surround her home.
